Can I use a light comforter cover on dark down cover insert?

    It depends on the weave, weight and material of the cover. No simple answer. You’ll have to try and see.

    Yes, it WILL show through, but I think it will be very attractive. Definitely a fashion statement. But before you take my advice, perhaps I should mention that I like to wear red heart boxer shorts under white linen dress pants. And my girlfriend usually wears a black bra under a white tank top. My point is: be brave. Don’t cave in to the fashion police. The fashionistas know nothing. My grandmother used to have a black wrought iron table and matching chairs in her dining room because she liked the way it looked. Oh sure, it was made for outdoor use, but she didn’t care. Although I must say, the hole in the middle of the table, made for the overhead umbrella, certainly did look a bit strange in the dining room. And our family became annoyed with her whenever she opened that darn umbrella. The “opening of the umbrella” ceremony was reserved for the holiday meals she prepared for us. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter…
