God as Comforter: Cover-Up or Just a Blanket?
Keep іn mind folks, thаt although I celebrate аnd “worship” іn a pagan circle аnd focus οn a Lady аnd Lord—іt іѕ really thе *Energy* οf everything thаt іѕ іn thе trees аnd thе oceans аnd air thаt I feel аt one wіth. God/dess іѕ Everywhere аnd Everything. Mу religion іѕ simply maintaining a spirit οf gratefulness аt all times (οr аѕ much аѕ I humanly саn)…Thе images οf God аnd Goddess аrе јυѕt symbols аnd I know thаt —bυt pictures аrе always helpful. *smiles*

whenever people debate it skews the perception of their personality.
I’m not sure everyone on youtube is as stubborn as they seem. However you kind of have to be to get your point across.
I imagine most atheist are open-minded. However it’s tough to be open minded when someone is telling you “you’re going to hell for not believing the same thing they do.” just the same i don’t think ever christian tells everyone not in their church that they are going to hell (even if they believe it.).
Yeah I can believe that easily. I’m from the south so I know what’s immediatly available to you especially in a small town. It sucks that you had to be driven into the arms of someone that was going to tell you to forgive and forget, just brush it off like someone had insulted you or something. My mother was abused as a child and I don’t know this for sure but I think she found herself in a simular situation. Anyway nice to meet you to and take care!
I certainly agree with that quote–it’s a good one–especially when it comes to something scientific like evolution—it’s a no brainer.
But at that time, for me nothing else was available. The cops came the night that my dad took the shovel after the kid I eventually married—and I thought about just telling him everything to get away—but the unknown can be really scary.

As an atheist I can respect that. I think though the big problem is misinterpretation of the bible by the folks that are supposed to be spreading the “word of god”. When you’re turning to a pastor instead of a trained phsycologist or equivalent professional I think that puts you in danger. There was a famous quote I heard long ago, goes something like this ,”It does not seem logical that a god would bless us with intelect and then not use it,” . Anyway good vid take care!
